New Exclusives from our Partners – May 2023 Edition

R48 Hotel and Garden
R48 Hotel and Garden

May is a month for mothers. (The alliteration, the glorious spring weather, fresh flowers…I’m here for it). It’s the perfect month to surprise your mom with a getaway somewhere special. Hotels tend to be less crowded this time of year (before the summer rush), when, in many locales, the temperature is juuuust right.

Luckily for us, many of my favorite stateside getaways are offering exclusive deals to help make your Mother’s Day (and month!) even sweeter. Now it’s their turn for some extra — and much deserved — pampering.

I’m also debuting a special feature: a spotlight (or a few) on recent hotel openings I’m extra excited about. To kick it off, a trendy boutique stay in Tel Aviv, a hot-off-the-press oasis in CDMX and a revamped jewel on the French Riviera…

Tell your mom to pack her bags, book your trip with me and unlock exclusive perks and upgrades at no extra cost.

NEW OPENING ALERTS: R48 Hotel and Garden & Carlton Cannes

We could not be more excited about R48, an ultra-chic hotel in Tel Aviv. Like your coolest friend’s stylish home, the hotel is a study in sophisticated details, sleek minimalism and Bauhaus-inspired design. (The interiors were crafted by the famed Studio Christian Liaigre.)

At the art-obsessed Colima 71, in Mexico City, there are 16 large, delightful rooms, all with kitchenettes. In the morning, visit the excellent coffee bar for a jolt with homemade almond milk, best paired with a pastry, which they source from the famed (and utterly charming) Panadería Rosetta.

Another notable debut — or rather, reopening (the result of one of France’s most extensive hotel renovations in centuries, no less): Carlton Cannes, a regal, sparkling, unbelievably glamorous masterpiece on the Côte d’Azur. If any hotel is worthy of such a prime location in a historically glitzy locale, it most certainly is this one.
